Fold up car revealed!

A brand new state of the art car called Hiriko has been unveiled recently with a few unique features. It is electric, it has no doors and most importantly it folds up to make parking problems a thing of the past.

The prototype had been made in Basque, which is in Northern Spain. The name Hiriko is the Basque word for urban and the car fits well with city living.

An economic car, it has only 2 seats with no doors and the only way is to climb into the car is through the windscreen. It has been said that it can fold up just like a child’s pram.

Created at Boston’s MIT-Media lab and after a long time planning it has now become real and production should start in 2013. The new car will be designed for city drivers and will be hired and folded up like a bike could!

A pupil at St Andrews School stated “I think that car is amazing and I will be looking out for one on the road.”

This car will be a huge hit for people who need a great urban car but still easy to store or park.
